Patricio Rotman
Director
Patricio Rotman is a partner and managing director at F&G and is responsible for the coordination and execution of financial advisory projects and investment banking transactions for various companies and institutions.
Mr. Rotman received an Engineering degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and a Master in Finance degree from the Centro de Estudios Macroeconómicos de Argentina (CEMA).
In his 30 years of experience in business and finance, Patricio Rotman occupied diverse executive positions in public and private national and international organizations.
Since 1987, Mr. Rotman developed an extensive professional career in the private financial sector in national and international organizations. He has led and participated in various types of corporate finance and investment banking transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures of Argentine companies, placement of debt and equity securities, implementation of association agreements and joint-ventures, restructuring of financial and commercial debts and promotion of direct investments by local and foreign companies. Furthermore, Mr. Rotman has a deep understanding of the business environment at a regional and sectorial level.
As Head of Corporate Finance of Banque Nationale de Paris and Director of BNP Capital and Investments, he was responsible for the execution and supervision of deals in the areas of corporate finance, business development, local and foreign direct investments and mergers and acquisitions in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Among other transactions, he advised foreign companies that invested in the region and negotiated sale, financing, investment and technology agreements with investment funds and companies in the US and Europe on behalf of local clients.As Head of Corporate Finance of Banque Nationale de Paris and Director of BNP Capital and Investments, he was responsible for the execution and supervision of deals in the areas of corporate finance, business development, local and foreign direct investments and mergers and acquisitions in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Among other transactions, he advised foreign companies that invested in the region and negotiated sale, financing, investment and technology agreements with investment funds and companies in the US and Europe on behalf of local clients.
Within the public sector, he was responsible for coordinating the operational and financial reorganization of the National Institute of Social Services and as consultant to the United Nations (UN) program and under sponsorship of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), he advised in the structuring of a plan to modernize the national tax collection system.
Mr. Rotman has been a professor of Acquisitions, Valuation and Corporative Finance at the MBA Program of the Universidad de Palermo (UP) and Universidad de Belgrano.
In 2002, Mr. Rotman joined F&G as a Partner and Director, where he has executed various M&A, financing and financial restructuring transactions in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Uruguay.
Fernando Badessich
Director
Fernando Badessich is a partner and managing director at F&G and is responsible for the coordination and execution of financial advisory projects and investment banking transactions for various companies and institutions.
Mr. Badessich obtained a BA in Management from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) in 1989; he then obtained a degree in Finance and Economy from Harvard University (Extension School of Business, 1990) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Sloan School of Management at MIT (1994).
Mr. Badessich has over 30 years of experience as financial advisor to public and private companies, governmental entities, financial institutions and individuals.
His professional career started in 1990 when he joined Merchant Bankers Asociados as part of the financial advisory team. During those years, he developed experience in privatizations (YPF, Somisa and Gas del Estado), as well as in the valuation and promotion of investment projects in the real estate, energy and telecommunications sector.
Once graduated from MIT, he continued his career in the US (1994 to 1997) as a Salomon Brothers investment banking professional, within the LatAm Corporate Finance Unit. During those years, he became involved in a variety of businesses and with various clients, including advising governments in privatizations (Panama, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Argentina and Colombia), equity capital markets transactions for a number of companies (Banco Ganadero, Laboratorios Chile, CCU and Siderar), placement of debt securities (144A bonds, Yankee bonds, structured notes, convertibles), advisory in mergers and acquisitions (Rio de Janeiro Refrescos, Kaiser Aluminum, BBV, Bristol Myers) and a large number of other corporate finance transactions.
In 1997, Fernando Badessich returned to Argentina as Country Representative of NationsBank, the fifth largest bank in the US at that time, to further develop its presence in Argentina and Chile. In 1999, as a consequence of the merger of said bank with Bank of America, Mr. Badessich assumed the general coordination of Bank of America’s corporate and investment banking operations in the country, position which he occupied until early 2004. During those years, he developed a fluid dialogue with the local business and financial communities and participated in numerous transactions, including project financing, syndicated loans, bond placements, sale of companies, and restructuring of financial indebtedness, among others. He was also a director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina (AmCham), a member of the Council of the Americas, of the MIT Alumni Club in Argentina, and of other cultural and business institutions.
In 2004, Mr. Badessich joined F&G as a Partner and Director.
Mario Caramutti
Director
Mario Caramutti is a partner and managing director at F&G and is responsible for the coordination and execution of financial advisory projects and investment banking transactions for various companies and institutions.
Mr. Caramutti graduated as Public Accountant (1995) and in Business Administration (1996) at the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA). During 1999 he attended INSEAD (formerly Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires in Fontainebleau, France) where he obtained his Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree. He is currently teaching various postgraduate courses including “Advance Corporate Finance” at the Universidad de San Andrés (UDESA) and “Valuation”, “Financial Restructuring” and “Structuring of Debt Transactions for Large Companies and SMEs” at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella (UTDT).
His professional career started in 1993 when he joined the Private Bank at Crédit Lyonnais Argentina, where he was part of a team responsible for delivering investment advice and for administering clients’ portfolios.
In 1994, he continued his career working for the Investment Banking Unit at Banco Galicia. He then joined a team responsible for structuring transactions related to short and long-term financings for Argentine companies, namely equity and debt issuances and syndicated loan transactions. Mr. Caramutti developed solid corporate finance skills through the involvement in a variety of deals, mainly with power and consumer retail companies. Between 1994 and 2003, he participated in transactions in the aggregate amount of US$5 Bn. for various clients of the bank (Canale, Importadora y Exportadora de la Patagonia, Cobra, Instalaciones y Servicios, CAPSA, CAPEX, Aguas Argentinas, Hidroeléctrica Los Nihuiles, Hidroeléctrica Diamante, EDENOR, EDEMSA and IMPSA, among others).
In 2004, Mr. Caramutti joined the Corporate and Investment Bank of Citi in Argentina, where he managed the relationship with the metals and mining companies, including those with the top two corporate clients and revenue providers of the bank at that time (Techint Group and Aluar). He actively participated in the origination and lead the execution of a US$300mm syndicated loan for Tamsa, a US$125mm pre-export finance facility for Siderca, Hylsamex’s US$1.4 Bn. acquisition financing by Ternium (“Syndicated Loan of the Year in Latam” for both IFR and LatinFinance), a US$565mm project financing for Aluar, Maverick’s US$2.7 Bn. acquisition financing by Tenaris and Hydril’s US$2.0 Bn. acquisition financing by Tenaris.
In 2007, Mr. Caramutti moved to Crédit Agricole CIB to assist in the development and implementation of the bank’s growth strategy in Argentina and to manage a limited number of Uruguayan clients. During that period, he also acted as Substitute Representative in front of the Argentine Central Bank (BCRA). Mr. Caramutti actively participated in the origination and execution of the Grupo IMSA US$3.75 Bn. acquisition financing by Ternium, various financings for Pan American Energy for close to US$2.0 Bn., including a US$500mm international bond issuance in 2010, a US$150mm pre-export finance facility for Aluar, a US$100mm structured commodity finance transaction for Pluspetrol and a US$239mm CAF A/B loan facility for Renova.
In 2012, Mr. Caramutti joined F&G as a Partner and Director.
Alberto Lagos Mármol
Director
Alberto Lagos Mármol is responsible for the coordination and execution of financial advisory projects and investment banking transactions for various companies.
Mr. Lagos Mármol graduated as an Industrial Engineer from the Faculty of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences at the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) in 1993.
Mr. Lagos Mármol has close to 30 years of professional experience as a financial advisor to companies, financial institutions and individuals in Latin America. His professional career started in 1994 when he joined the financial advisory group at Merchant Bankers Asociados. During his time there, he developed experience as a generalist banker and participated in sales processes of various companies in the financial and industrial sectors.
In 1997, he continued his career in the US, where he worked as an associate in the LatAm Corporate Finance Group of Salomon Brothers, based in New York. Mr. Lagos Mármol actively worked with a variety of businesses and clients, including the Argentine government, YPF, and Siderar.
In 1998, Mr. Lagos Mármol returned to Argentina and continued his career in Merchant Bakers Asociados. In 2012, when Merchant Bankers Asociados merged with Lazard, he was promoted to Managing Director. During those years, he was responsible for leading merger and acquisition processes with clients including Sullair Argentina, Hicks Muse Tate & Furst, Cepas Argentinas, El Tejar, Alicorp (Peru) and Grupo Favorita (Ecuador). He also actively participated in various financial restructuring processes during the 1998-2006 period with clients like Alpargatas, San Miguel, Transportadora de Gas del Norte, Scotiabank Quilmes and PDVSA.
From 2016 onwards, and after Lazard’s acquisition of MBA Lazard, Mr. Lagos Mármol was responsible for leading the Consumer and Agribusiness Group for Lazard in Latin America (ex Brazil and Mexico). During those years, he led various transactions in the sector including the dispositions of Mastellone, Solvay Indupa, ADES Latinoamerica and Ingenio Concepción.
In 2020, Mr. Lagos Mármol joined F&G as a Partner and Director.
Gabriel Langenheim
Director
Gabriel Langenheim is responsible for the coordination and development of financial advisory and investment projects for companies.
Mr. Langenheim graduated as an Economist from the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) in 1992. He then attended the London School of Economics and Political Science (London, United Kingdom – 1995) where he obtained his Master of Science in Accounting & Finance degree.
Mr. Langenheim has close to 30 years of professional experience as a financial advisor to companies, banks, governments and public institutions. His professional career started in 1993 with the portfolio management group at The First National Bank of Boston, focusing on the analysis of investment and arbitrage strategies for equity, fixed income, money market and tailor-made funds for companies.
In 1995, he continued his career in New York, where he worked as an Associate in the Latin American Financial Advisory Group of The Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Langenheim was part of this corporate finance advisory team in the execution of M&A, project finance, debt capital markets and syndicated loans transactions for clients in Latin America.
In 1997, Mr. Langenheim returned to Argentina with NationsBank, and after its merger with Bank of America, he continued his career as a Vice President in BofA’s Corporate and Investment Banking Group. He led and coordinated teams originating and executing M&A, capital markets, loan syndications, and debt restructuring advisory assignments for Argentine clients. In 2004, he joined Rio Bravo Inversiones S.A. as Executive Director focusing on M&A, private equity and local capital market transactions.
In 2007, Gabriel Langenheim joined Itaú BBA as responsible for setting up and developing Itaú BBA’s investment banking coverage in Argentina and the bank’s efforts to expand its investment banking practice throughout the region. In 2014, he became Head of Fixed Income for Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and non-presence countries. Early in 2019, Mr. Langenheim consolidated all investment banking products as Head of Investment Banking for his coverage area, position he held until he left the bank in 2020. During his period at Itaú, he led teams for the origination and execution of more than 100 transactions (ECM, DCM, Syndicated Loans and M&As) amounting to more than US$30 Bn. for clients in the region, the bank became a leader house for international corporate bonds and he was responsible for many landmark transactions (the bank first NYSE-only IPO, the largest LatAm IPO since 2011, the then largest Argentine corporate bond ever in 2014, a sovereign deal of the year, the largest sub-sovereign local currency international bond, etc.).
In 2020, Mr. Langenheim joined F&G as a Partner and Director.
Ignacio Carbó
Vice President
Ignacio Carbó joined F&G in 2021. He obtained a BA in Business Administration and Accounting from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) and a Master in Finance from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT).
Prior to joining F&G, Mr. Carbó worked at EY, participating in various M&A transactions and providing corporate finance services.
Ignacio Carbó has experience in the execution of M&A deals, and in the analysis, evaluation and support in the execution of various types of corporate finance transactions, having worked for companies in different sectors including oil & gas, energy, consumer retail and entertainment, among others.
Juan Lynch
Vice President
Juan Lynch joined F&G in 2020. He obtained a BA in Business Administration from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and is currently in the process of completing a Master in Finance at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT).
Prior to joining F&G, Mr. Lynch worked as a Corporate Finance Analyst in ABECEB and PwC Argentina.
Juan Lynch has experience in the analysis and evaluation and provides support in the execution of various types of corporate finance and investment banking deals.
Agustín Magliola
Vice President
Agustín Magliola joined F&G in 2017. He obtained a BA in Business Administration and Accounting from the Universidad de San Andrés (UDESA).
Prior to joining F&G, Mr. Magliola worked at Lazard, being part of transaction teams dedicated to the execution of M&A and debt restructuring projects. Formerly, he also worked for Grupo Bimbo in the company’s Corporate Development Department.
Agustin Magliola has experience in the execution of M&A deals and debt restructuring, having worked all over Latin America for companies in different sectors including financial institutions, consumer retail, manufacturing and logistics.
Nicolás Giordano
Associate
Nicolás Giordano joined F&G in 2022. He obtained a Public Accounting degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) and is currently in the process of completing a Master in Finance at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT).
Prior to joining F&G, Mr. Giordano worked at PwC, being part of transaction teams that participated in various M&A transactions and providing corporate finance services.
Formerly, he also worked in the external audit department. Nicolás Giordano has experience in the analysis and evaluation and provides support in the execution of various types of corporate finance and investment banking deals.
María Belén Mourad Simes
Associate
María Belén Mourad Simes joined F&G in 2020. She obtained a BA Economics from the University of Michigan, and is currently in the process of completing a Master in Finance from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT).
Prior to joining F&G, Mrs. Mourad Simes worked as a Senior Consultant at Management Solutions and as an Intern at Capital Markets Argentina.
María Belén Mourad Simes has experience in the analysis and evaluation and provides support in the execution of various types of corporate finance and investment banking deals.
Tomás Parera
Associate
Tomás Parera joined F&G in 2022. He earned a BA in Finance from the Universidad de San Andrés (UDESA) and is currently in the process of completing a Master in Finance at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT).
Prior to joining F&G, Mr. Parera worked as an Equity Research Analyst at Crisil Irevna. Previously, he worked for the financial services firm ARG Capital.
Tomás Parera has experience in the analysis and evaluation of transactions and provides support in the execution of various types of corporate finance and investment banking deals.
Carolina Hoiak
Office Manager
Carolina Hoiak joined F&G in 2014 after studying Engineering at the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA).
Prior to joining F&G, Ms. Hoiak worked for McKinsey & Company, Pegasus Venture Capital, Caterpillar – Finning Argentina and Cisco Systems.
Carolina Hoiak has experience in the coordination and administration of various day to day activities at F&G, including providing support on accounting and design activities.
Tiago Mendoza

Currently pursuing a degree in Economics and Agricultural Administration at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Mr. Mendoza joined F&G in 2018.
