Patricio Rotman is a partner at Finanzas & Gestión and is responsible for the coordination and development of financial advisory and investment projects for companies and institutions.
Mr. Rotman received an engineering degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires, a Master in Finance from Centro de Estudios Macroeconómicos Argentino (CEMA) and currently teaches Acquisitions, Valuation and Corporate Finance at the MBA program from Universidad de Palermo (UP) in Buenos Aires.
In 2002, Mr. Rotman founded and organized, along with Carlos Melconian and Rodolfo Santangelo, the initial activities of Finanzas & Gestión, as a business unit of M&S Consultores specialized in financial advisory services to companies doing business in Argentina.
In his more than 25 years of experience in business and finance, Patricio Rotman occupied diverse executive positions in public and private organizations in Argentina. Within the public sector and during 2001 and 2002, he was responsible for coordinating the overhaul and reorganization of the National Institute of Social Services (similar to Medicare in the US), including the renegotiation of all supply contracts and the structuring of a new public auction system for the procurement of critical resources. As consultant to the United Nations program and under sponsorship of the Inter-American Development Bank, he advised the Argentine Federal Revenue and Tax Service in the structuring of a plan to modernize and reduce costs in the tax collection system.
From 1987 to 2001, Mr. Rotman held a number of different positions in the private sector, including the development of an extensive professional career in the financial sector for local and foreign financial institutions. He has led and participated in various types of corporate finance and investment banking transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures of Argentine companies, placement of debt and equity securities, implementation of association agreements and joint-ventures, restructuring of financial and commercial debts and promotion of direct investments by local and foreign companies. Furthermore, Mr. Rotman has a deep understanding of the business environment at a regional and sectorial level, having participated in many deals in Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay during his career.
As partner and manager of Argentine consulting companies, he was responsible for the analysis and execution of various projects including mergers, acquisitions and financial restructuring. As Corporative Finance Manager of Banque Nationale de Paris, he was responsible for the execution and supervision of projects in corporate finance, business development, local and foreign direct investments and mergers and acquisitions in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Among other transactions, he advised foreign companies that invested in the region and negotiated agreements related to the sale, financing, investment and technological cooperation with investment funds, US and European companies and Argentine clients in the financial, industrial and commercial sectors.
In 2002, Mr. Rotman joined Finanzas & Gestión as a Partner and Executive Director.
Fernando Badessich is a partner at Finanzas & Gestión and is responsible for the coordination and development of financial advisory and investment projects for companies and institutions.
Mr. Badessich obtained a BA in Management from Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), he then obtained a Degree in Finance and Economy from Harvard University (Extension School) and a Masters in Business Administration Degree (MBA) from Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Mr. Badessich has over 25 years of experience as financial advisor to public and private companies, governmental entities, financial institutions and individuals.
His professional career started in 1990 when he joined Merchant Bankers Asociados as part of the financial advisory team. During those years, he developed experience in privatizations (YPF, Somisa and Gas del Estado), as well as in the valuation and promotion of investment projects in the real estate sector, energy and telecommunications.
Once graduated from MIT, he continued his experience in the US (1994 to 1997) as a Salomon Brothers investment banking professional, within the LatAm Corporate Finance Unit. During those years, he became involved in a variety of businesses and with various clients, including advising governments in privatizations (Panama, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Argentina and Colombia), equity capital markets transactions for a number of companies (Banco Ganadero, Laboratorios Chile, CCU and Siderar), placement of debt securities (144A bonds, Yankee bonds, structured notes, convertibles), advisory in mergers and acquisitions (Rio de Janeiro Refrescos, Kaiser Aluminum, BBV, Bristol Myers) and a large number of other financial transactions.
In 1997, Fernando Badessich returned to Argentina as Country Representative of Nations Bank, the fifth largest bank in the US at that time, to further develop its presence in Argentina and Chile. In 1999, as a consequence of the merger of said bank with Bank of America, Mr. Badessich assumed the general coordination of Bank of America’s corporate and investment banking operations in the country, position which he occupied until early 2004. During those years, he developed a fluid dialogue with the local business and financial communities and participated in numerous transactions, including project financing, syndicated loans, bond placements, sale of companies, restructuring of financial liabilities, etc. He was also a director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina (AmCham), a member of the Council of the Americas, of MIT Alumni Club in Argentina, and of other cultural and business institutions.
In 2004, Mr. Badessich joined Finanzas & Gestión as a Partner and Executive Director.
Mario Caramutti is a partner at Finanzas & Gestión and is responsible for the coordination and development of financial advisory and investment projects for companies and institutions.
Mr. Caramutti graduated as Public Accountant and in Business Administration from Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA). He then attended INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France – 1999) where he obtained his Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree. He is currently teaching various postgraduate financial courses at Universidad de San Andrés (UDESA) and Universidad Torcuato di Tella (UTDT).
Mr. Caramutti has over 20 years of experience as financial advisor to various companies and institutions.
His professional career started in 1993 when he joined the Private Bank at Crédit Lyonnais Argentina, where he was part of a team responsible for delivering investment advice and for administering clients’ portfolios.
In 1994, he continued his career working for the Investment Banking Unit at Banco Galicia. He then joined a team responsible for structuring transactions related to short and long-term financings for Argentine companies, namely equity and debt issuances and syndicated loan transactions. Mr. Caramutti developed solid corporate finance skills through the involvement in a variety of deals, mainly with power and consumer retail companies. Between 1994 and 2003, he participated in transactions in the aggregate amount of US$5 Bn. for various clients of the bank (Canale, Importadora y Exportadora de la Patagonia, Cobra, Instalaciones y Servicios, CAPSA, CAPEX, Aguas Argentinas, Hidroeléctrica Los Nihuiles, Hidroeléctrica Diamante, EDENOR, EDEMSA and IMPSA, among others).
In 2004, Mario Caramutti joined the Corporate and Investment Bank at Citi in Argentina, where he managed the relationship of the bank with the metals and mining companies, including the top two corporate clients and revenue providers of the bank (Techint Group and Aluar). He actively participated in the origination and lead the execution of a US$300mm syndicated loan for Tamsa, a US$125mm pre-export finance facility for Siderca, Hylsamex’s US$1.4 Bn. acquisition financing by Ternium (“Syndicated Loan of the Year in Latam” for IFR and LatinFinance), a US$565mm project financing for Aluar, Maverick’s US$2.7 Bn. acquisition financing by Tenaris and Hydril’s US$2.0 Bn. acquisition financing by Tenaris.
In 2007, Mr. Caramutti moved to Crédit Agricole CIB to assist in the development and implementation of the bank’s growth strategy in Argentina and manage a limited number of Uruguayan corporate clients. During that period, he also acted as Substitute Representative in front of the Argentine Central Bank. Mario Caramutti actively participated in the origination and execution of Grupo IMSA’s US$3.75 Bn. acquisition financing by Ternium, various financings for Pan American Energy amounting to close to US$2.0 Bn., including a US$500mm international bond issuance in 2010, a US$150mm pre-export finance facility for Aluar, a US$100mm structured commodity finance deal for Pluspetrol and a US$239mm CAF A/B loan facility for Renova.
In 2012, Mr. Caramutti joined Finanzas & Gestión as a Partner and Executive Director.
Daniel Serventi joined Finanzas & Gestón as an external consultant, responsible of several projects, as consultant in corporative finance specialized in audit and accounting.
Mr. Serventi graduated as Public Accountant (1984) from Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). He then obtained a Master’s Degree in International Business at École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
In his more than 30 years of experience in corporative finance at Pistrelli Henry Martin Asesores (EY Argentina), Daniel performed leading several teams of professional audit services in industries such as: massive consumption, laboratories and pharmaceutics, financial institutions and banks, insurance and manufacturing companies. In 1998 he was promoted to partner.
Mr. Serventi started working in corporative finance since 2000. From 2006 to 2016 he was responsible for M&A Due Diligence for South America (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Colombia). From Buenos Aires office, reporting to the Managing Partner in South America and to the leader in America. Daniel led the start-up of the business in Chile, Peru and Colombia and managed growth of the practices it in Brazil.
He obtained wide experience in providing M&A, Due Diligence and valuation services in specific transactions and growth in countries of the region as Chile, Colombia, Venezuela and Argentina. He assisted shareholders in more than 180 buy-sell transactions and led valuation projects of several companies in Latin America with different objectives, such as, business plans for expansion, divisions, carve outs and financial restructure.
Mr. Serventi acted as advisor for Private Equity funds as GP Investimentos, Linzor Capital, Victoria Partners, Carlyle Group, Pegasus, Inverlat and Advent, among others, in their assets and businesses acquisition processes. He developed consultancy and debt restructuration projects for multinational companies such as Manchester RE, Fosum, Alicorp, AES, Carrefour, Generali, EDF, INVEB, Campari, Lloyds y Ax, among others and in fundraising processes for national firms such as Banco Macro, Banco de Santa Fé, Grupo Cardón, Ledesma, Prevención ART, Provincia Seguros and ART.
In 2016 Mr. Serventi joined Finanzas & Gestión as a Partner and Senior Director.
Joined Finanzas & Gestión in 2015. Mr. Luttini obtained a BA in Business from Universidad de Belgrano, a masters degree in Finance from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT) and is currently a CFA Program Candidate of the CFA Institute.
Previous professional experience as M&A Associate at PwC Argentina, Corporate Finance Senior Analyst at Corporación América (Eurnekian Group) and at BRF Argentina.
Mr. Luttini actively participates in the analysis, evaluation and execution of a wide variety of deals including M&A, project financing, DCM, corporate financing and debt restructuring, among others.
He asisted in teaching in postgraduate financial courses of business valuation at Universidad Torcuato di Tella (UTDT).
Joined Finanzas & Gestión in 2013. Mr. Bléhaut obtained a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) and is currently studying a Master’s degree in Finance at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT).
Previous professional experience at Avon Cosmetics Ltd. and Grupo Kairos Real Estate.
Mr. Bléhaut is responsible for the analysis, evaluation and execution of various projects including M&A, corporate financing and debt restructuring, among others.
Joined Finanzas & Gestión in 2012. Mr. Gini obtained an engineering degree from Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) and a masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from IAE – Universidad Austral.
Previous professional experience at Coca Cola Femsa, Exxon Mobil, Atento Argentina and Shell CAPSA.
Mr. Gini is responsible for the analysis, evaluation and execution of various projects including M&A, corporate financing and debt restructuring, among others.
Joined Finanzas & Gestión in 2017. Mr. Magliola obtained a degree in Business Administration and Accountability in Universidad de San Andrés (UDESA).
Previous professional experience at Lazard, being part of merge and acquisition projects and debt restructuration, and at Grupo Bimbo in corporate development and new deals.
Agustin has experience in M&A projects and restructuration all over Latin America in different areas, as financial institutions, massive consumption, manufacturing and logistics.
Joined Finanzas & Gestión in 2017. Mr. Braun is currently studying Industrial Engineering in Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA).
Previous professional experience at Cremer y Asociados S.A. in the biodiesel production area and in Aval Ar S.G.R. as financial consultant.
Mr. Braun has experience in the analysis, evaluation and execution support of various types of deals.
Joined Finanzas & Gestión in 2016. Mr. Saman obtained a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) and is currently studying a Master’s degree in Finance at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (UTDT).
Previous professional experience at YPF as analyst in the Treasury and Planning departments.
Mr. Saman has experience in the analysis, evaluation and execution support of various types of deals.
